Vertigo Vultures
Vertigo Vultures
Standing on a lone wire, a row
of cloned troopers
watching
waiting
waiting for the natural occurrence
the Dance of Decay
rotting away horror show
instead of popcorn
grizzly intestines leads a
trail of Vertigo Vultures
to swoop down upon sailing
black wings
a pack of grim messengers
bearing a grim message
a symphony that ends
all other notes
fleeting and fluttering
down
down
down
down
feasting, gorging upon the
inner soul, innards
squinting eyes, suspicious of
one another.
Picking apart the meat until
instead of pink and red, there
is a white bone, bleached
in the bright sunlight
A black cloud shatters and
dissipates, a black eye exploding
going this way and that
as separate entities. A assembly
replaced by a mechanical
monstrosity invading the road
disrupting all thing on a
dust covered road
Vertigo Vultures
sitting in a row watching
waiting
waiting for their land to
return to normal
