Vertical

If i were to adapt to your absence shall i burn the polaroids?
If you were to leave me shall you drink your nights away ?
I stand corrected while you stand alone
and i have been cocooned all night in your jacket
my dear open bracket
What type of medicine have you been hooked on this week , any week ?
Which bone did you break this month ?
My resilient home , my melancholy syndrome
Where are you when you are right beside me
I ponder when you are that yonder
I have been screaming all night
My love , my inertia
Im staying vertical although not afloat.
