Verdant Leaves

Through new tender verdant pecan leaves A golden full moon cast shadows The whip-poor-will loudly calls his lover Full moonlight reveals secrets Bobcat silently creeps Full moon slowly rising on this cloudless night Perfect in most ways, except for solitude No one with whom to share beautiful sight God is there and He does not exclude illuminating full moon always wanes in time.... bobcat pounces once

Jack, I am glad that it is imagination and not real, but it could be real. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

another poem I read where you are alone. I can only imagine being single most of my life. And this another piece where the moon is the main attraction. But the piece makes it part of your lives. It becomes a place no matter where it is, Its the meeting under the moon.

Yes, John. I was alone out on the porch but even if my husband or grandson had been there, I could have been alone. Probably not though because both of them talk a mile a minute and it is almost impossible to think when they are around. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

John, I just heard the whip-poor-will at my awaking. They are so nice in the early evening hour and early morn. We have had them here ever since we moved into this home. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Victor, I am glad that you don't have Bobcats in Malta as well. I have never seen one here though, but they are around hidden during the day. I have seen a couplet of coyotes crossing the road but that was a rare thing. Your visit is uplifting. Sara
