Vengeful Vengeance

A pall of gloom had descended, Some even said, life had ended. Nature, always immensely beautiful, Seemed at once furious and vengeful. Nothing worked, nor pills nor antibiotics. Human lives, for once, mere statistics. Relations, no matter how close, held at bay, There seemed to be, just no other way. Human warfare or a mutant gene, Damage unprecedented and unseen. No one knows what the future holds, Everyone dreading, the common cold. Social distancing, the need of the hour. Masks and gloves, bought from afar. Super powers, down on their knees Nothing mattered, Economy nor World peace. Isolation and quarantine, new terms to behold. Thousands jobless, starved and cold. Nature’s fury, human negligence, Time to introspect, see some sense. Stop the sins, at least unite to make some noise If you cannot boldly, raise your voice. You belong to Nature, don’t massacre her womb, Payback is ruthless, She will make the world a tomb!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
