Velvet Elvis
While looking in the mirror
What do you think I saw?
It had to be the best looking dude
That left me in total awe
He looks like one of them movie stars
That's up on the movie screen
Jet black hair, with pouty lips
You know the kind I mean
He looks like somebody famous
Where everybody knows his name
He's probably gonna be a millionaire
Destined for fortune and fame
I told my wife how lucky she is
To have a man like me
She just rolled her eyes and said, "Okay"
And then she said, "I see"
"You're a good looking man that's for sure,
But I don't know how to tell this,
That's not the mirror you're looking at,
It's a velvet picture of Elvis"
