Veil

Hidden behind the smiling eyes
A veil of tears waiting,
Waiting to be heard.
Screams crying out from the years before.
spinning out of control what can I say,
The alcohol takes the pain away,
ohh and the lines of powder trailed about the counter.
She's so fun they say, if only everyone was as happy as her.
I smile, thought of if only you knew I'm slowly saying good bye.
