Vegans deliver "praise-me" talks
And brag about their healthy walks
They all spout facts
But watch their backs
Because they know celery stalks!

Laughed out loud at the punch line, Rico! The vegans I've known haven't been especially healthy, but I admire those who are committed to protecting animals. "Celery stalks," indeed! Hugs, carolyn

Sugar beets remain alive after harvesting so must be processed within 48-hours or they will exhaust their sucrose trying to heal but, like other vegetables, their cries are on another frequency. Imagine being lettuce, with root amputated then chilled, diced, and doused with vinegar! Aloha! Rico
