Vegetables

Anybody is well fed
if they like vegetables that are red.
There are onions, tomatoes, beets, and kidney beans.
Don’t forget vegetables that are green.
They include peas, lettuce, green beans,
artichokes, zucchini, cabbage, and lima beans.
They are healthy things to eat at any scene.
We have to include vegetables that are yellow.
Let peppers, squash, and carrots grow.
With all of this bounty available,
we have plenty to eat at our table.

Andrea Dietrich January 17, 2012 at 7:52 PM hmm, I can count on one hand the ones here I can stomach. hahaha. (onions, beets, green beans, peas and lettuce). oh, and kidney beans are nice. All beans taste great except for those nasty lima beans. I sure wish I loved vegetables. It would make my life so much easier to diet!!! Good poem, Robert. I could see it in a health book for children.
