Vapor, Voyage

O vapor of the ether;
Of noctilucent clouds:
Drain, rain, in a fever?
Thy contents void on crowds?

Dark fire, burn through dragon teeth!
Swarms of men destroy!
Belladonna, wrap in wreath!
Mandrake to employ!

At harvest-time, bloodlet like spring?
Festive gathering?
O for fairies wrapped in ring!
How the end can sting!

Wizard, wild as weather?
Tornado, come and go...
We can be together?
Caw, O carrion crow!

Empty are the timelines?
They're open, but who knew?
Grape of wrath on withered vine...
Hope, what must I do?

Honesty? Well, thus cliche.
Sun, melt with thy ray!
Hated are the games we play!
How the hounds must bay!

Trail off, O ye curses.
Things aren't as gloomy black!
Certain, curtain? Thy verses!
Nothing else to pack!

Fly, O brave adventurer!
Fortune you must seek!
Faith! Good choices! Sound and sure!
Through the future peek!

Knowledge? This may not exist.
Wisdom you have got!
Hold thy wand and flick thy wrist!
Death summon on spot!

Enemies! These are everywhere!
Wicked, yes, and vile!
With the end you must not spare?
Ramp, reel, reconcile...

Then, though shadows loom about;
Will, without a doubt...
Fain do challengers lose bout?
Skill they are without?

Head off thorny paradox!
Speak right from the heart!
Sunny are the golden phlox?
Flavors fine a-tart.

Develop! Deception?
Practice, but don't preach!
O black magic, stun or shun?
Bale and ne'er beseech...
