Vapor Trail Dreams From Paper Airplanes

Velvet black abyss
Wrap her in your arms
Let the waters hiss
Raise not the bleak alarms

White caress bestow
Upon her fiery brow
Gentle ebb and flow
Release the evil vow

Fantasy it be
But that’s no never mind
Perhaps one day she’ll see
His heart was ever kind

I want welcome to poetry soup Diane. Your son is one of my favorite poets here. It is lovely to see where he has gotten his inspiration from. I was very moved by your first poem about Phillip, tried to leave a comment several times but it would not let me.I hope Phillip will find peace in his life and happiness. You sound like a wonderful mother. I enjoyed this poem too. Blessings and Aloha, Connie

Thank you for your kind words Connie. :) I read your comment to Phillip tonight when he called...he says you are a sweet lady and a wonderful poet! I'm glad you were able to leave this comment...it made my day as well as Phillip's. Truth be told...I'm no poet, I'm a math person. I like numbers and equations! It was Phillip who encourage me to write. So...Merry Christmas from the Garcia's. :) Diane

Hi Jan, Phillip called tonight and sent a special hug and hello to you. :) He is trying to write, but has trouble writing on paper. He prefers the computer. We are definitely opposites in that regard! :) Diane

Thank you Jan :) And yes, I was thinking of Phillip when I wrote this. Seems like that's all I can think about these days, but soon he will be home...aggravating me again!...so I will be normal again. :) I hope you enjoy the holidays...I have 2 weeks off starting at noon today...WOOHOO!! :) Diane
