Vanished Away

Your words are sad they say
Your heart cant simply feel that way
Way to broken to repair these days
Way to hurt to ever return
Return to the days of joy and tears
Return to the people who left her there
There in the cold to fend for herself
There all alone to love her siblings
Sibling became her kids
Siblings she took ownership
Ownership of the beautiful lives
Ownership of adult life
Life where she watched her “kids” grow
Life where she chose to grow on her own
Own accord
Own life skills
Skills she learned by herself
Skills she taught them as well
Well as she could being seven
Well as she could not knowing how
How to be a mom
How to replace her parents
Parents who divorced
Parents who started a war
War between houses
War with kids in-between
In-between the lies they told
In-between the love they chose
Chose chaos
Chose to split
Split the holidays in two
Split the houses completely
Completely shocked she became
Completely scared she proclaimed
Proclaimed they loved her
Proclaimed it was the best
Best was all she gave to her “kids” now
Best was what she wanted
Wanted them to be happy at her own cost
Wanted them to see all she did
Did it hurt?
Did he say good bye
Good bye’s never happen
Good bye’s make it worse
Worse to wake up to dads stuff gone
Worse to realize love had vanished
Vanished into the night as he
Vanishes into the night as she held her “kids” tight
Away
Tight
