Vampire Sonnets Xvii Rewired Fate
I took a look and then sank in my teeth
to taste the blood that was lying beneath;
Consumed by the fever of a vampire
instinct is impossible to rewire;
Instantly I felt the hunger quiet,
no longer did I feel taken by it;
Dripping from my lips the taste of copper
serene carnage had replaced the stupor;
Feeling the clearing of a dark dense fog
no need for any kind of dialog;
Despite his battle with mortality?
The Blood Mafia did not hold the key;
No matter with what I had to contend,
to this fate Jordan would not be condemned.
