Vampire

I know somewhere there is a reason
Something to tell me what I’ve done
The things I find just change the seasons
Something growing, I can’t run

This worn out corpse is through with fighting
I know I could never stand in this race
But still it burdens my deciding
Sealing emptiness in this place

My hateful mind can’t find redemption
Pain is fuelling every thought
This bitter taste meets my rejection
Schizophrenic, thanks a lot

I have seen too much for my liking
Still I find I need to feed
This ancient vampire is cursed with hiding
I still feel my darkness planting seeds

I hear the drum hide in the sun
I sense the fear that loads the gun
I know the fighting has begun
I see you smiling, having fun
I’m draining life out of your mind
I’m curing the numbness that’s inside
I’m killing you off if you can find
You’re hurting and you’re blind
