Valley of Love

Lost in love’s valley Like fragrance of a rose In the morning breeze I’ll not be I then I’ll then be you. (Inspired by the seventeenth century mystic poet of Sindh Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s poetry) Sintra, Portugal 25/01/15

Thanks for visiting my Tanka. Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai was a renowned Sufi, musician and poet in the seventeenth century of Sindh, India now a province of Pakistan. Much research work has been done on his life and poetry by the authors in Pakistan and India and in several major languages of the world including English. Pakistan Academy of letters has entrusted me the job of translating in English the book titled Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai -Life and Thoughts. The book is almost finished. I'll let you know when it is published. Love. -Mohammad
