Valiant To Gloaming

They used to shine like crystals, I didn't see how sharp the edges were, Until my fingertip they cut. But I remain valiant , Strong I once used to be, And I stayed longer than most, Until you were gloaming. Led to me pathos, My soul screamed melancholy, What used to be forevermore, Frosted so icy I remained trapped. Unpredictable my predator was, And once valiant woman, Was turned gloaming. Just like them. And now weak I've become, Yet to see the light again. -August 11, 2017
