Valentine's Day Advisory

Roses are red Violets are blue Though the love must spread Today it's no more than for two Buy those overpriced red roses From the merchants making a kill from love At exquisite places take pictures while striking poses Isn't Valentine's day an iron fist in a velvet glove Meanwhile an imaginary "men's conference." To save the man from the demands of the day And thereafter the wallet exudes no difference He heftily parts with his gold and silver either way Therefore show love to the wife of your youth See her joy even from the humblest gifts from your hand Let that material gift express the immaterial truth With anything from a pendant to even a piece of land There is no love without giving Your avoidance of spending still hasn't made you rich The gratitude and reciprocity that you haven't been seeing Is there in the generosity we hardly preach.
