I know I miss out totally
I should have done better
I should have put my love for 
you more than just words

I know you expect a bouquet 
today
I know you expect me to book 
a candlelit dinner
I know you wanted me to 
shower you with a valentine's 
gift

I didn't get you a stalk of rose
I didn't have a simple dinner 
with you
I didn't even buy you a box of 
chocolate

but I want to give you this 
surprise
I wanted you to expect the 
better of me.
I want you to have your own 
valentine's day

dinner
