Valentine
The scent of red roses wrapped me as the breeze blew
with the charm of your flushed face laced with floral hue,
how adorably you blossomed for me you had no clue.
In sunburst dawn in the rose garden you were by my side,
I had sparkled like the pearly crest of the ecstasy tide,
for the patina of your enticing rose I adorned anew.
From the eternity I sought the time we had long shared,
under the sunset blazing sky my love in reverie flared,
how excited I was to see the day my desire came true.
In the blue firmament of your eyes my heart had flown,
saw the dreams bloom in the avid sapling we had grown,
we had fondly sheltered them as storms surged through.
The sound of your voice I hear ripple in the air of passion
with the melody of togetherness in a unique fashion,
how complete I am when I find we are one from two.
Your essence is always with me as the second shadow,
even in the darkness of the bleak times I find it glow,
for I kindle the candle of love for my Valentine, that’s you.
