Vacation Day 2

Woke up really early
Thought I'd try something new
Drove out to Portola
Sat and wrote to all of you

Did some walkin'
To clear my mind
Trying to gather strength
I could not seem to find

Made a bed in the foliage
Tried to take a nap
The forest is my blanket
Covering me from a world of crap

Stopped and washed my truck
Had an ice cream cone
Headed back to the house
I'm all alone

Fixed the dirt bike
Preparing for tomorrow
The kids and I went to Roger's
Offering some happiness to his sorrows

Kids told him stories
About his beloved son
We jammed on some guitars
The night is almost done

Time to go find a fountain
One that runs a recycling pump
Pour some dish soap in it
Haul a-- and run!

Dirt bikes, quads, four wheel drives are ready
Tomorrow we hit the dirt
Now is not the time
For me to wear a mini skirt

More like mother in-law, interesting poem, it seemed like it was coming from the heart
