Vacation

My vacation landed me
On this mountain path
I hike enjoy the brush
And being in an old forest
Can’t help but feel a little blessed
Around so many trees
The oak edges upward
And the pines stand twice as tall
As the house. My fort high above
I built when I was a kid
Has come crashing down
Lasted half my life
Something to be said for this place
Vacationland
