Vacation

My vacation landed me On this mountain path I hike enjoy the brush And being in an old forest Can’t help but feel a little blessed Around so many trees The oak edges upward And the pines stand twice as tall As the house. My fort high above I built when I was a kid Has come crashing down Lasted half my life Something to be said for this place Vacationland
