Vacant Words

Your promises
Mean everything to me
But, in reality are only
Sweet lies from your dagger
With a candy coated bloody shell
That makes me believe you
Even though I am left with
Baker's chocolate once again
Tongue of torture stabbing my heart
Torment dripping from my soul
In this maze of truth and deceit
Bewildering pandemonium overcomes me
Frantically trying to see past the fog in the mist

Sacred words
Slowly dying
Sinister oration
Bathing in dishonor
Rabid dreams
Monotone expression
Lifeless speech
Dressed like royalty
But only emptiness exists
Behind the vacant words you utter
