Using Discretion

It is important we do not get our knickers in a pinch And wind up acting like the mean, old Grinch Especially during this season of happiness and cheer, Let’s lay aside our nasties and unleash them next year. Surely if we can be kind and patient for the while From our critics, we will most likely elicit a smile, And, who knows, we may even forget our discontents, For “discretion is the better part of valor” makes sense.

Hey, let's do the first part of this line, but not the second part okay? "Let’s lay aside our nasties and unleash them next year."

Well, the idea was that if we lay them aside now, we'll probably forget them by next year! You are so right, though.

Well said. If only mankind were really kind to each other, what a happy place we'll be. Victor

Your wisdom, Milton, is the kind that goes in one ear and out the other. Sorry to play the Scrooge. / Maurice

Unfortunately that is true, Maurice, which is one reason we must keep hammering home the "thought" over and over again.

I think so, Tom. Now, if I could only put it into practice on a regular basis!
