ive been mistreated and hurt
use to be beaten to where it hurts
but see its all good now because
i can look in the mirrior and see that scar and realize how far ive survived in this life
to me its now a trophy show everyone
im coping
with my misery
im sorry was i supposed to stay down
was i supposed to stick aroud
take one more hit to the ground
yes you've had it tough
but there's no reason to fuss
this misery in your heart
it goes away as soon as the day
you admit to yourself
there's another way
i can smile and let my tears fall
without having to hide
behind a wall of denial
now im not afraid to push back
i use to be afraid of you
but now im standing next to you
