Us the Naked Ape
Us the *****sapiens,
Formed from the rich dust
of the Earth,
mixed with salty
tears,
Us the *****sapiens,
Who knows,
Only so well,
What it is too loose,
Us,
The naked Ape,
Scared,
Born with minds that need
to Know,
That seek to soften rock
With flowers,
Paint over emptiness
with living colours,
Us,
The longing Ape,
Who knows so well,
That the day is
short,
And that it must be
lived.
