Us and Jesus

Us & Jesus

Through a looking glass you can take a peek
Once this life is lived no chance to repeat
Either stand for something or sit down and shut up
A lone blade of grass drifting in the wind where to begin
It's just us and Jesus in the game of life
A splash of ginger & a pinch of spice
Another chance at which to roll the dice
We all live on a very thin line so often we are blind
He came to open our hearts & turn the eyes of darkness to light
In solemn green pastures getting lost on the edge of night
Colors so sweet with ivory dripped in it's fallen dew
Blackened red with a splash of grey not much more to say
We must be humble enough to bow the knee to pray
A rainbow bright as in a glow in the sky for all to see
As we so often live in the sullen land of make believe
What to soar to learn what are we to ever achieve
Our dreams our achieved if we have faith in Jesus
For God alone is enough in our 21st century world in a rush
A pull at the flame to egnite the spark to what we are waiting for
To become a beacon of hope in the night so full of fright
It's us & Jesus in the game of life amidst the daily strife
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plough
A challenge to be free is a question of time
One day we shall see him in all of his brilliance
Never look back at the plough nor give up on the fight
For living with Jesus forever is way out of sight
