Us

I am me,
My reality is not yours.
I see you in all your glory,
Never truly comprehending,
what makes you,
you,
But with the understanding,
that you do not know me,
We are old friends.
Well trusted and long bonded.
No lies pass our lips.
I know you not,
but I trust you with my life.
I am me,
You are you.
Our friendship is not based in who we are,
Or how we see each other,
It is based in something deeper.
Much stronger then appearances,
It is based in the acceptance that we have found in our time together.
