Upon the Shore

Dreams with no vacancy crash amongst
ancient walls.
Slowly and tenderly foaming kisses
through rough coarse sand.
I see a desire in the way you
come and go.
Trapped between time and the forces of the moon.
You sway each time with different melodies.
Your beauty extends far beyond the
limits of my soul.
The moon reflects upon your surface, echoing
past, present, and doom.

Yet you know the fate of her whom.
You have touched the shores through
the vastness of time. Watching
skies fall, walls crumble, life love.
You are only, you are eternal.
The sea.

I would like to welcome you to PoetrySoup Karin. If you would like to have more of your poetry read please limit your postings to 3-5 poems per day. In doing this more of your poetry is read and other poets can also have theirs read. Wishing you the best in your writing endeavors. If you have questions please feel free to ask anyone here. We are all willing to help and if we don't know the answer we will find someone who does. Love, Carol
