Upon a Stream
I gazed upon a stream one day
And saw the ducks swimming along the way
The water so blue and clear and gleaming
I felt as though I had started dreaming
The frogs were hopping with their tiny feet,
Until the water makes appeared that they didn't want to meet,
Logs went by so swiftly and smooth;
And grasshoppers jumped as trying to move
The day was mild, clear and sunny,
As the fish maneuvered underwater so funny
I felt so content that I started giggling
Until I noticed on alligator's tail wiggling
I jumped immediately from the grass;
As a driver in a race pushes the gas
I tripped and stumbled as I started to run,
To my father's shack where he kept his gun
While returning I split my seams, in my jeans;
That my mother bought who was pretty mean
How I'd wish this was a dream
But it actually occurred upon a stream.
