Upon a Bed of Petals
UPON A BED OF PETALS
A flowering moss upon a bed of petals,
A lady bug that creeps then calmly settles.
A flicker of light that shines down on the moss,
A pink dogwood flower, that was used on the cross.
A bed of petals that are full of truth and belief,
The brightest pink with red on each glowing leaf.
Upon this bed of petals, you will remember well,
Jesus gave his life, for us to tell.
When you look upon this bed of pink flowers,
To stand and pray to Jesus for many hours.
This bed of petals upon this small tiny hill,
The wind is so silent seems to set still.
To bow your head and close your eyes,
To have Jesus in your heart, that is the ultimate prize.
