Uplift My Soul
I say to thee come now and fly to pleasures untold
Enternal seasons of spring and winters never to be cold
Share with me the deepest thoughts that flow about thines mind
Searching for an emotion I choose not to find
There be no other who brings light to this cave in my heart
To explain the desire in my yearning body, I not know where to start
Past memories of yesterday where all I knew is sorrow
Gives me new life now forevermore I live in tomorrow
Just another day I can truly be thankful for its presence
One touch of the hand gives my joy it's true essence
Empty promises often received by I , cease me from being whole
So now I stand and beg thee to uplift my soul
