New update, November 15, 2022 Caleb saw the orthopedic surgeon today. He said that he did not break his femur, but the patella(kneecap) dislocated but went back in place, there is bruising, and possibly torn cartilage. He is sending him to PT for 2 weeks then he will see the surgeon again about the torn cartilage. Prayer healed the broken bone and it is a much less serious injury, but it still hurts, is swollen, and needs time to heal. Thank you again, Sara

Thank you, Andrea. My husband has had the same problem since he was about in the 6th grade. It is a genetic abnormality of the way the kneecap fits. My husband eventually at age 72 or so had to have a total knee replacement. Sara

I've had trouble there myself, Sara, many years ago, still remember the pain, and disability for months after. Hope the recovery carries on, Harry

Harry, Sorry that you have had a similar experience with the knee. My husband injured his as a child, then when we were young, he had to have surgery because he chipped bone behind the kneecap and then in 2010, he had to have surgery for total knee replacement because he hurt it again. He said the rehab on that was awful. Sara

Victor, He says he is having some pain mostly at night when he is asleep, and he moves it the wrong way. He did not get any pain meds because he said he did not need them so it is good that he is not enough pain to need those kinds of meds. Thanks for dropping by. Sara
