Up To Feeling Good
When I get real sick I feel so bad
After I am healed it makes me glad
We can all feel pains in many ways
When pains are gone everyone plays
Been cut so deep its hard to heal
This does affect the way I feel
Feeling hurt can be such a pain
But something that I’ll feel again
From a scratch I got such a bad infection
So bad I needed some antibiotic injection
Doctor saw it was so swollen and even enflamed
Gave me something for pain and it was tamed
Its not how deep we do get hurt
But when people do I’d give my shirt
And I’d hurt myself to save another
Treat them like a long lost brother
Will always give not to receive
This is what I do believe
It makes me happy how I feel
Helps me when I am to heal
We lose a friend we feel the wound
No matter how our fates are tuned
Life is a game where we arrive
But none of us get out alive
Losses come in so many forms
Some just cause some awful storms
If we all can weather these
We can set our minds at ease
Feeling good enough to write
Might even want to write tonight
I’ve healed right up to feeling good
Almost feeling like I really should
True love has healed my injury
Love does it all and did endear me
Holding closely from the start
Holding closely to the heart
Its time for me to go away
I’m going out so I can play
Flying out like a little dove
I say goodbye with lots of love
