Up Periscope
Inside the racy, forest-green, alpha romeo
moisture beads the glass
like the facets of the jewel
she dreams on her ring finger.
The lush leather blackness
glazes skin golden in the lamplight
cradling the lingering lovers
tousled tendrils, twine.
Deep, dark, eyes search for meaning
in an ocean of salt and seed.
Periscope breaches silken surfaces
revealing an odd cant to the moon
at the submarine races.
