Up Or Down

Up or down
No one knows for sure
A battle of wills so to speak
That everyone must endure

"Always put it up", they say
Then, "You forgot to put it down"
I have to admit it drives me nuts
As my head spins round and round

I really don't know the answer
It's drove us mad for years
It's even made some grown men pout
And drove other men to tears

Why can't they put it up or down?
Why does it have to be us?
Cause everytime we do it wrong
We have to hear them fuss

For me there was only one answer
Let me tell you what I did
The last time that my wife complained
I removed that toliet lid
