Up In Flames

I watched myself go up in flames
And I didn’t do a thing
To stop my skin from blistering
With each new scorching sting.

I watched my form engulf itself
With every dancing flame
And stood there with my mouth agape
At my gruesome idle frame.

I watched myself become the blaze
For I was burning bright
With glowing embers of nothingness
That burned on through the night.
