Up and Down My Never-Ending Road

with each passing day I walk a long way of sorrow
knowing there is no other life to borrow
seeing the world through the eyes of the unseen
drifting past with a brightened beam
I feel my own envy closing in
this life of a depressed downward spin
I'm crushed under the weight of it all
will this be the last time of my undying fall
swaying like waves in the sea
I wonder in my heart if this is the real me
unraveling my ties
pacing towards my own demise
struggling for the light of day
or is the darkness forever will I stay
I see no end
is my path an obscured trend
I loathe the outside world
it sits on an axis while being twirled
all is worry but alas no hope
I'm falling down my last steep slope

That depressed road is so sad if you have to walk it alone. Many of us here suffer from depression. Poetry is our way to put our feelings to words. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
