Unwritten

‘Of Gods And Policemen’, my title of note
My novel the third in a trilogy
A novel however, that I never wrote

From books one and two I sought synergy
And jotted some notes and rough pages
While some remained muttered soliloquy

I worked on the premise for, seemingly, ages
My character profile in place
Of a copper so calm but with unrestrained rages

I gave him his name and imagined his face
But I doubt I shall write him down ever
Perhaps he will vanish without any trace

Perhaps I should never say never

Never say never, you will write that third book someday. A great Terza Rima you’ve written. All the best… Belle

Thanks, Belle. Unfortunately, the plot was so complex I’d probably struggle to remember where I was planning to take it. Maybe if I completely lose my muse again. Terry

Thanks, Joseph. I tend to stick to rhyme and Limerick, but I was tempted to have a dabble. Glad you enjoyed.

Hi, Tom. About a year ago I scribbled about a hundred pages, plot, histories, who was where and when and started drafting the actual story. Not strictly a trilogy, but one of three books that shared some in-depth links. Trouble is, with no plans to do so, my pen suddenly killed my most pivotal witness, the one who could shed much light at the end. I should have back-tracked and un-killed her, but I can’t help thinking that if my subconscious thought is was right, it probably is. Maybe one day. Cheers.

Reads really well, Terry. And like you say, who knows? Hope you get to finish it.
