unwavering seas

The tides of my idle mind allow me rest
For when the time comes for the storms appearance
All my senses are heightened and yet
There is no room for feeling
Only the instinct of survival.
The storm rests in my mind, comfortably.
Turning away the tranquility it once allowed
Leaving a whirlwind for my mind to make sense of,
Turning away from all feeling
Only left as a husk to be rested in.
