Jan Cannon Poet Free verse

Unwanted Memories

For years you have slept                                                                                                                               But now you have awakened                                                                                                                        Only to wreak havoc upon this already imperfect state                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Go back to whence you came                                                                                                                              Far beneath the cornerstones of my mind                                                                                                                               For the years haven't lessened the pain                                                                                                                                but only made it worse.
