abundance beckons... devil's squeal of glee... ~ harvest shared... only with me... ________________________________ 'When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap the corners of your field or pick up the gleanings your harvesters drop. Excellent poem, my friend. The scripture is very well matched to your Senryu. I fear Earth has lost her way. Bill

Gershon we must share with the less fortunate. Gods wisdom and love for the poor or needy is shown clearly through your words my friend. A joy to read...

This reminds me of my poem about my Dad, I renamed it, I Love You Daddy. He made more than enough income, but shared it with my school, churches, family And anyone who was in need. No, it was not all for him.he was generous to a fault. He paid the down payment for his sister in laws house as an engagement present! That impressed me. Of his time? When he had it, that is, always, looking to do good for anyone. My friend needed ice skates, he bought them. He was about sharing, Pangie

That is a gorgeous and absolutely hedonistic train of thinking, Gershon. Thank you so much for reminding us. Your kind comment on my POTD is very much appreciated.

You are so right, Lasaad. Truly execrable that 'train of thinking.' Thanks, gw

Our modern day version of welfare robs the recipient of a sense of dignity that the gleaner had as they worked to acquire their food. Also it was not stipulated how many rows to leave at the perimeter allowing the one who owned the field to give freely from the heart. He could stingily leave the very least required or generously leave more as his heart so motivated.Much better arrangement showing Godly wisdom in operation.
