Untitled, Unredeemed and Unrequited

Untitled, Unredeemed and Unrequited

Never have I appreciated poetry more than at this stage in my life,
as I peek at the closing curtain
Tumult, chaos and turmoil all are edges of that same evil knife,
find one, find the others for certain
A Saving Grace, now that is the treasure I truly dare to seek,
for none of the other matter
This dark world, a hell of a place for those sweet and so meek,
 righteous hearts that shatter

Note: A fragment of a poem in process, came to me in a dream tonight. I got up , wrote this down.
Must sleep , hoping to find the remaining Muse hidden treasure...

G'day Robert... First of all, a poets major fault statement 'I'll write this down in the morning' ... mmm. Your verse steads me well as I guess many of us attempt to write our good and bad history now that we are heading into the twilight years. Enjoyed this poem Robert - Lindsay

Beautiful, admittedly the reader would want to read some more. Still, lovely by itself and on its own delivers a punch to the gut. Indeed, after all has been said and done, "none of the others matter". However, God is still in control, my brother. Awesome 7. Will be back for that continuation. Hugs and smiles to you and your beloved, as always. :D Kim

Absolutely wonderful poem! Happens to me often, I am thinking of a great poem, half asleep and by the time I grab a pen, I forget the best parts!! It stands on its own, but I can see where you might wish to continue! Hope you doing well and in good health Robert! A7

Thanks Arthur, should the continuation not come in another dream I believe that I will let this stand just as it is... however I feel in my heart there was more...

Thanks Anne Lise, dreams and reality are sometimes the same. I dreamed of my wife years before I met and married her. Yet she ended up being the image I saw in that dream.
