'untitled, Like You'

This is not the fairytale I had in mind.
You're not the charming prince you could have been.
If you were then you wouldn't have changed your mind.
If you were then I wouldn't have seen
The coward that you are. You really are.

The things I gave you, the things you know, the secrets I shared because I
Trusted you?

Look inside, deeper in you,
Find my eyes and my hands and my time and my heart.

Yes... they're still there.

And while you're searching, look for yourself.
I know you know what I mean.

Can it be true that I loved a void?
A lack of a person?
A fake of a person?

You have no reality. So don't you dare tell me you didn't feel it was real. You're not
real. Not yet. Not even close.
You're not the best, like you think you are.
And you're not the perfect, like I thought you were.

And I wake and sleep and wake and sleep, with crying mind and thinking eyes.

I stare at the screen.
I scream at the wall.
You've made me sick, and you know it, you do.

You cry for a minute, you care even less.
And yet, you saw me in seas, in rivers, in vast lakes and streams, in oceans and yet, you
still loch up my heart. That one tissue made no difference.

And so. My leap of faith ends.

I fall
      and fall
                and fall
                          and fall...

Flat on my face. Thank you, coward.
