Untitled Haikus That Suggested Themselves

Under dark blue skies, happy children played games. Thunder cracked, bombs fell. Living and dying. Juxtaposed realities; the crib and the grave. The skies were crying; pecking birds flew to their nests. Worms had a party. War knocked at the door; peace answered: “No vacancies!” Hope held hands with faith. State of the nation: We watch a pilgrim’s progress. Time clocks the future. The cocoon opened. A butterfly kissed the air. A lizard feasted. Painful time lags on. Possibilities linger. Doctors treat; God heals.
