Untitled As Yet
I miss your mind and our brotherly hugs
Ties that bind upon which heartstrings tug
We used to laugh, we used to play
When we'd fight the things we'd say!
We roamed at night and owned each day
Your wisdom was equal to only your wit
Now it's gone gotta deal with the grief
A giant black hole, where you should forever be
I'd like to know, what you could never tell me
That single call, if only you'd remembered me
The anguish we hide and cover with lies
The anguish inside is it yours or mine
When someone dies, 'focus on the positives'
As for advice, that's all they've got to give
Lucky for us you made plenty of those
They still can't illuminate any of that hole
There's no-one like you in this world
But there should be!!!!
Times flowing as new it just swirls where you could be
You'd love Laila she's so full of delights
She brings the play to all of our lives
No more light from you too soon, we had our fill
You shone so bright, when you knew you had time to kill
And left our lives under a cloud of doom
Our last goodbye just a note found in your room
Your thoughts were muddled
but you made a choice
When your confuzzled
it's hard to raise ya voice
If you'd lost the light always stumbling on your way
or got frost bite on a hot summer day
If only you'd confided
and told me how it lay
I'd have been your guide
and led you from the haze
I'd have given you the world
dammit the planets or more
It would have hurt, And
I sure would have cried
But I'd have held your hand
as you laid down to die.
Now I cry as those heartstrings are tugged
How I'd die for one last loving hug.
