As his question lingered in the air
Like a mist, predicting to destroy her utterly
Darkness cloaked the woods, abruptly
As her heart pulsated in rhythm to the gentle breeze

Disappointed
Tired

Her body was disloyal to her feelings
She wanted to stop throbbing his morose heart
But she didn't know how to
