Untitled #3

I think I had been waiting my whole life
for someone to say
what you said to me
I can't even remember the words anymore,
but the meaning is what changed me
You inspired me to pick my life back up
from where I left it all those years ago
And I am everything I am today
because of you
Of course
it's not much more
than I was before
But it's a start
And something I'm actually going to keep trying at
for once in my life
Even now
as I lay next to you
holding the most precious thing in my life
Every ounce of you
makes me a better man.
