Untitled 1

open the gates i return bearing gift's and story's of wisdom, magic and myth's i fought through the forest that was darker than night struggled up mountain's to arrive at their height's I've been undercover on barbarian ship's and stood in a battle watching limbs being ripped I've sat on a throne proclaimed as a king then squandered on women my crown and my ring's i spoke to the devil about selling my soul but he asked me quite nicely to leave him alone I've been to the heavens of a thousand lost god's and found all of them bored with unconditional love they tell me they want their worth to be earned then banished me back to my place down on earth it's only now i realise that the god's of which i spoke are my friends and my family and ordinary folk.
