Notes About The Poem

Untitled

all consuming fire
I toss your love letters in
they mean nothing now
we lost that burning passion
perhaps we can still be friends

... and if you'd bothered to read them before burning them, I'm pretty sure they would have seemed foolish and false. ~ gw

Hello Oliver, A great reflection on love’s transformation and the delicate balance between loss and hope. I loved how the imagery of tossing love letters into the fire captures the bittersweet act of letting go, while the possibility of friendship offers a glimmer of connection amidst change. Touching. Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

I really like this. The fire burning the letters is perfect metaphor for passion lost.
