Untitled

Falling in love with strangers is the only way to not break your heart

Look
theres a woman with eyes
that are the colour of sunlight through a glass of ginger ale

Look
theres a woman with eyes a dark brown
of early morning black coffee you spill on your sleeve
when you're still half asleep

Look
theres the woman who works at the shop down the street
with uneven teeth and a starlet voice

Look
theres a woman on her phone that's stifling a laugh
and her dimples are sweetly showing

Look
theres a woman you thought you knew
whos decided she doesnt want to pretend anymore

I guess I was wrong about strangers and heartbreak
