Until You Get Here

i know you're out there i feel your warmth spreading from the place i'm sure i haven't found yet i know the day will come when the emptiness i live in will be filled with your arms filled with your light filled to the brim with you and i'm sure it's coming soon. i know it's just the waiting that fills me with this ache the longing for your embrace pains me even as i sleep i'm sure i can wait just a little while longer. i know that you exist your presence is apparent in each moment i feel a smile enter my eyes i'm sure you'll keep it there. but until that you that i'm sure i know is somewhere on your way to my door i'll just pretend to hug you until you get here.
